Chicken: Sweet & Hot


1 whole chicken
1/2 cup of butter
1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce
1 large garlic clove
1/2 cup of Carol Hall's Hot Pepper Jelly (flavor of your choice!)
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
1 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon powdered ginger
3 dashes tabasco sauce

Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and heat until the Pepper Jelly is melted and sauce is smooth. Quarter chicken and place in baking pan. Pour sauce over and marinate 2-3 hours. Heat oven to 350*, bake one hour uncovered. Turn over to 400* and cook, basting, until chicken is brown.

Serve with rice, peas and salad.
